Our story
Empire State Medi-Cab was founded in 2005 with a mission to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction while focusing on patient care and safety. Proudly servicing our community, Empire has transported hundreds of thousands of customers who have trusted us to get them to their prescheduled medical appointments.
We work with dialysis centers, nationally recognized hospitals, long-term care facilities, broker networks, and customers who still reside at their homes and need service.
Our family brings over 40 years of combined experience in the medical transportation industry a legacy of care that continues in every trip we make today.

Driver hiring & training
We maintain a long and thorough hiring process. Each candidate goes through a management interview, DMV driving record check, physical examination by a doctor, and a drug screen before joining our team.
Training is conducted by a senior staff member, focusing on safety techniques and empathy toward passengers. New hires undergo a 90-day probationary period to ensure they meet our standards.
Licensing & insurance
Empire State Medi-Cab is state licensed by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Department of Health (DOH). We are fully insured, meeting or exceeding all state and county requirements.
Our fleet of climate-controlled vehicles are custom built to meet ADA requirements and pass NY State DOT inspections every six months, supported by a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
